Community Change - Charity initiative announced

At Pink Self Storage, we are excited to reveal our 2025 charity campaign which gives back to the communities we work in - the ‘Community Change’ initiative. This new programme that launches in Spring 2025, is designed to support and give back to local not-for-profit projects that make a meaningful difference to the local area and across the UK.
Kick-starting in South Wales, the Community Change programme provides an incredible opportunity for charities, community groups, and good causes in the area to receive an award of up to £1,000. Whether your cause needs funding to renovate a communal space, purchase new equipment, or expand a valuable service, this could provide the financial boost you need to take your invaluable work to the next level.
This is an exceptional opportunity for South Wales organisations to receive funding and exposure. Not only will the winner and runners-up also get a financial boost, but they will also gain visibility through our social media channels, allowing them to connect with new supporters and potential donors through publicity and exposure.
How to enter
If you have set up, work for or represent a not-for-profit organisation, then getting involved in the Community Change project is easy. Here’s how to apply:
- Self-nominate: Charities, community groups, and other good causes in South Wales can self-nominate by emailing their details to community@pinkstorage.co.uk.
Be sure to include:
o Yours and your organisation's name and contact details
o A brief description of the project or initiative
o An explanation of how the funding will positively impact the community
The next stages
Shortlist: After the submission deadline of Tuesday, April 22nd, Pink Storage will review all entries and select three finalists. The finalists will be announced on Pink Storage’s social media platforms, where the public will have the chance to vote for their most worthy cause.
Voting stage: Each finalist will receive a custom-designed logo from Pink Storage to use across their website, social media, and email footers, helping to encourage votes. The one with the largest number of votes on the closing date will receive the top funding.
The prizes
- Winner's prize: £1,000
- Two runners-up: £200 each
Why it matters
Scott Evans, Managing Director of Pink Storage, explains the motivation behind the campaign: “We believe in supporting and giving back to the local communities we work in. As a South Wales self-storage company that began here, it was natural to start our Community Change initiative in this area.
“This a fantastic opportunity for local groups in South Wales to quickly gain visibility, rally community support, and secure funding for their important projects. We look forward to hearing more about the vital work being achieved around us and helping grassroots organisations continue their incredible work.”
Other regions across the UK will be announced later this year, expanding the opportunity for even more people to benefit.
We look forward to receiving your entries. Good luck!
